Light up Revoltec neon for PC |
This article is intended to show you how to reduce the diameter of the tube used to protect the neon (10cm version here) using a straw of diameter 5.5mm.

Original package :
Neons are protected by 10.5mm diameter polycarbonate tube blocked by 14x14x10mm polycarbonate blocks .
The assembly is thermally sticked giving a really poor result (white traces).
Neon alone :
Neons have a diameter of 3mm, welds are insulated with heat shrink.
Without heat shrink :
Remove heat shrink.
New heat shrink :
Full view:
Put two layers of shrink tubing to help support the tube.
Once installed tube :
If tube still movible, use paper stick.
Final result :
This article has helped reduce the width of 14mm neon within 6mm.
